Copper and Frisco together present a wide array of winter activities and special events that the whole family can enjoy. With naturally divided terrain for all abilities, Copper has 2,450 acres of downhill skiing and riding in a beautiful mountain setting, rated the locals favorite. Frisco's outstanding cross country ski area has miles of challenges for both beginning and advanced cross country skiers.

DOWNHILL SKIING AND RIDING AT COPPER With 2,450 lift-services acres of naturally separated terrain and great villages, it's easy to see why Copper is a favorite among skiers and riders. Copper provides first rate skiing and riding at one of Summit County's largest ski and snowboard resorts during the winter months. Naturally divided for all abilities, the mountain offers steep terrain to the east, gentle slopes to the west, intermediate terrain through the middle and some of the best bowl skiing in the state.

Three distinct base villages now define the Copper experience. On the Western side of the resort, Union Creek base area and The Schoolhouse, a kids-only base lodge, provides the perfect environment for beginners and families. Located in The East Village are Copper Station and the Super Bee - Copper's high-speed, six-person lift with access to the world-renowned intermediate and advanced trails.

FRISCO NORDIC CENTER The old mining town of Frisco is nestled between the magnificent Tenmile Range and Continental Divide, and is a perfect place to cross country ski. 32Km of cross country ski trails through spruce forest and open meadows and 16Km of snowshoeing on scenic nature trails. There is a newly expanded cross country skiing trail system on Peak 7 in the White River National Forest.

MANY OTHER WINTER ACTIVITIES
There is more to do than skiing for an active winter vacation. Other nearby activities include snowmobiling above treeline along the Continental Divide, mushing a Siberian Husky-powered dog sled and scenic hot air balloon rides. There are plenty of trails for snowmobilers and snowshoers in the Copper/Frisco area.

Don't forget shopping at Copper's new Center Village or on Frisco's classic small mountain town Main Street and Summit Boulevard. And if you are a history buff, visit the Frisco Historic Park on Main Street and the historic exhibit at Copper in the Snowbridge Square Mall.

Winter Activities at Copper

In addition to the great skiing and riding, there are countless events and activities to keep you busy throughout the day and into the evening. The Copper Mountain Tubing Zone is a favorite for "kids" of all ages. Even the smallest tubers won't get tired as the hill is serviced by "The Stinger" lift, allowing tubing enthusiasts to spend their energy going downhill rather than going up.

West Lake market offers the perfect venue for ice-skating, broomball and curling. West Lake has a staging area to allow guests to comfortably put on and take off their skates. Nearby, a fire pit with heated seating provides an ideal spot for roasting marshmallows and sipping hot chocolate.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides take visitors through the scenic White River National Forest and Dining in the Woods offers a gourmet meal in a cozy, historic miner's tent.

Copper Mountain Athletic Club is perfect for soaking in the hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms after a day on the slopes. n addition to the cardio-fitness and weight training facilities, the athletic club also has two racquetball courts, a swimming pool and spa services offering facials and massages.

Sign up as a team or individual; 6 people max. per team. Teams & game lengths will be decided according to the amount of people signed up. Helmets required. Guests, employees, & residents welcome.

En Fuego is a sizzling celebration that takes place on select weekends and Wednesdays throughout the winter and includes a fire juggler, a torchlight parade, fiery drum shows, nighttime exhibitions in Copper's new Main Vein Superpipe and more in The Center Village.
